| The Future Tense
|
Some of the
advanced "tenses"
are easily mastered while others are very
complex and subtle in their construction and meaning.
 |
The
"tenses" listed do not convey the normal impression of
past or present time. |
 |
The
perfect and continuous tenses may be combined, or combined with
modals, to express very specific times. |
 |
The
modals may create expressions that defy categorization of
time. |
 |
Will and shall may
be one way of expressing future
time, but they are not the only construction that can do
so. |
